Role overview
SR Plumbing is recruiting an Electrician to support domestic and selected small commercial customers across Liverpool and Merseyside.
The position includes fault finding, EICRs, landlord certificates, remedial works, consumer unit jobs, lighting, socket work and other common electrical appointments. We are looking for someone who is confident on site and clear with customers.

Covering Liverpool, Merseyside and agreed nearby service areas.

Working pattern
Full-time mobile role with booked appointments, repair visits, testing work and occasional urgent jobs.
Education requirements
NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, AM2 and 18th Edition qualification.
Experience requirements
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in customer-facing electrical work.
Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical appointments for repairs, testing, certification and installations.
- Find the cause of electrical faults and complete the right remedial work.
- Produce EICRs, landlord certificates and compliance paperwork accurately.
- Work on consumer units, lighting, sockets, appliance circuits and similar domestic systems.
- Install alarms, showers, cooker circuits and related electrical additions where required.
- Handle selected small commercial repair and maintenance tasks.
- Report findings clearly so customers and the office understand what has been done.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.
- AM2 completed.
- 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification.
- At least 3 years post-qualification experience.
- Comfortable dealing directly with domestic and small commercial customers.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Able to diagnose and complete repair work without close supervision.
Desirable experience
- Inspection and Testing qualification such as 2391 or a similar award.
- Regular experience preparing EICRs and completing remedial lists.
- Exposure to EV chargers, alarms, rewires or light commercial work.
What success looks like
- Keep appointments moving without sacrificing testing or repair quality.
- Identify electrical faults and explain the findings in plain English.
- Complete certificates and job notes accurately.
- Carry out remedial and installation work safely.
- Help customers understand what needs doing and why.
